Forest Hills families participate in themed tea parties

Kids and parents alike are on the guestlist for some afternoon tea parties that will draw inspiration from a well-loved and whimsical tale.

Forest Hills families are welcome to attend the Alice in Wonderland-themed tea parties organized by Queens County Farm Museum. They will celebrate literacy and also offer a glimpse into Victorian times, and all ages are invited. There are two dates and several sittings to choose from.

The menu for the occasion is filled with both sweet and savory treats such as scones with jam and clotted cream, sandwiches, fruit, tea, and lemonade, and the festivities will be held outdoors weather permitting. Everyone can meet the costumed characters and pose for fun photo ops, and a trivia contest, a caricature drawing competition, and story time for the kids are on the agenda. Guests are asked to choose attire that is in keeping with the spirit of the celebration.

To thank them for coming out, each ticketholder will receive a special memento to take home. Corporate Gifts for an activity can be custom designed by area Print shops, which can accept orders in person, through its website, or over the phone.

Queens County Farm Museum will offer families its Alice in Wonderland Tea Party experience on May 30 and May 31. The start times are 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on both days.
