The Green-Wood Cemetery offers a glimpse into the Forest Hills area’s past, and a guided visit will provide history buffs with details of the life and times of those who rest there.
With over 590,000 burials, the venue had played a significant role in the history of the community. Jeff Richman, who is a local historian and subject matter expert, will be the guide for a trolley tour, and the event’s listing explained he's looking forward to sharing his knowledge.
The ticket holders for the outing will meet at the Gothic Arch before the tour begins, and suitable footwear for walking is recommended. The activity is intended for those age 10 and up, and the trolley is accessible to those who require a mobility device. Tickets are $30.00 each, and a discount is being offered to Green-Wood Historic Fund members.
Learning about an area's past can be both fascinating and fun,and a tour provides the chance to do so. Printed guides can be prepared by a brochure printing company to supply to the attendees so they can keep on learning even after an activity is over.
This introduction to the storied past of the Forest Hills area will be welcoming attendees on December 7th. The tour will begin at 10:00 am, and its run time is two hours.
