The Alley Pond Environmental Center will give a presentation at the Queens Public Library in Forest Hills.
Animals Alive! is an educational program for kids where they can interact with real creatures while learning about many interesting animal topics. The presentation will cover subjects such as animal classifications, predatory-prey relationships, and evolution. The intended age range for the live animal show is 6-11, and the presentation will be accessible to those with special needs. Audience members will have opportunities to touch and observe the animal guests.
The Alley Pond Environmental Center is an organization that has been educating children and adults about the environment for over 50 years. The nonprofit group’s mission is to protect Alley Pond Park and advocate for sustainable environmental policies. Irene Scheid is the center’s current executive director, and Carlos Martinez is the facility’s head of operations. The organization has a club for adults called the Friends of Alley Pond Park. Those in the club can volunteer and advocate for resources that promote park safety.
The in-person animal experience will be held on February 20 from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. Those people interested in registering for the presentation must call the Queens Public Library or visit in person. Organizations in charge of similar kid-friendly experiences may use Print shops to design advertisements for their family programs.Get a Free Quote for Print
