Forest Hills to introduce children to game design

The STEAM learning lab iPlayTek in Forest Hills will be organizing a camp for kids this August that teaches them about elements of game design.

Children who wish to learn more about creating video games can attend the iPlayTek Worldbuilder course. Campers will be taught how to build extraordinary environments while learning problem-solving skills through the use of the game Minecraft. The camp will give kids customized resource packs to help create stunning worlds. Children will also use creative writing skills to pen their own adventures.

iPlayTek is a family-owned organization that wants to help students get the most from their education by using fun activities to enhance learning. The group has been approved as a vendor by the New York City Department of Education and offers courses in a variety of technology-related subjects, such as coding, robotics, and YouTube. iPlayTek will also be creating online classes for kids to join. People who offer educational activities like this can use flyer printing to share the event with locals.

The Worldbuilder course is a five-day camp that will begin on August 3 and end on August 7. Intended for kids between the ages of six and twelve, the camp will cost $899 per student, which will include a diploma from the organization and a T-shirt. Campers will also play board games and enjoy outdoor activities at the workshop.
