The Emerging Technologies Institute will be holding a CompTIA course this April in Forest Hills to teach people about information technology (IT).
CompTIA was initially formed during the 1980s and has helped numerous professionals earn certificates in fields related to IT. The class will help those interested in technology-oriented careers to learn essential skills that protect against hackers and network security gaps. Candidates who complete the program will be better prepared to assist people with troubleshooting and solving computer problems.
Each class will consist of eight students and will be taught by Michael Hurtado. Many subjects will be covered during the program, such as network protocols and cabling, different computer form factors, and troubleshooting printers. Those who enroll in the course are expected to have a basic understanding of computer functions. Organizations that have classes like this can use printing services to make compelling ads that get people interested in joining the course.
The training sessions will begin on Wednesday, April 15 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There will be 10 courses included in the program. Anyone interested in participating in the technology class can pay $595. All students must be at least 18 years old and have already earned a high school diploma or its equivalent. Attendees are expected to bring a notebook and writing utensils to their classes.
