The Queens Public Library invites Forest Hills locals to celebrate Asian culture by attending a live show in May.
Ba Ban Chinese Music and Dance will give a live concert to honor Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. The in-person show will take audience members on a sensory journey and play ancient melodies. Many traditional instruments will be used in the music and dance performance, such as the dizi and pipa. Libraries that host cultural concerts similar to this may use brochure printing services to make show programs for audience members.
The concert will be performed by the Ba Ban Chinese Music Society of New York. The organization was created in 1999 and helps people experience the beauty and richness of Chinese culture through live shows and recorded performances on their YouTube channel. The group was founded by multiple Chinese instrumentalists who went to school at the Central Conservatory of Music in China and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
The concert for AANHPI Heritage Month will be held on Thursday, May 2nd from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Registration is not required to attend the Ba Ban Chinese Music Society’s performance. There is also no need to purchase tickets to see the concert. The show can be viewed by people of all ages and will be presented in Chinese.
