An annual state celebration festival is to return to Nevada this October.
The Nevada Day Weekend Festival features a variety of family-friendly activities and attractions as patrons celebrate being a part of the great state of Nevada. The event will begin with the annual pancake breakfast, followed by a hot air balloon launch. There will also be a 5K during the proceedings, in which any attendee can participate. The 5K will follow the route of the parade, which stretches across over two miles of the downtown area.
In addition to these scheduled activities, there will be live music, food, floats, and block parties. The highlight of the event will be the Nevada Day Parade, which will feature over 200 entries of floats, marching bands, and teams. The final day’s event will conclude with the extravagant Beard Contest, where Nevadans can compare their facial hair and potentially win prizes.
Held in Historic Downtown area, the festival is free for all to attend. Further information is available on the event’s website. Flyer printing can be a useful way to help those in attendance understand the schedule at long-running events such as this one.
This event will take place on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29 at North Carson Street, Carson City. It begins at 7:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm each day.
