The Inaugural Mint Gala will be held inside the historic Nevada State Museum in Carson City next month.
Visitors to the elegant after-hours event will experience demonstrations and activities while enjoying top-quality hors d'oeuvres and live music. They will be welcomed with a glass of champagne and, for those who choose the VIP experience, their ticket will also include a one-hour bourbon tasting.
Curators will offer guided tours of the historical exhibits while the highlight of the night will be the minting of the first commemorative medallions to mark the museum’s 85th anniversary. Coin Press No. 1 will strike the limited-edition medallions in copper. The souvenirs can be purchased in advance with event tickets.
The evening will also include an interactive treasure hunt and a silent auction. Formal attire is expected to be worn and guests are also encouraged to include historical fashion and masquerade masks.
The gala is presented by sponsors including Friends of the Nevada State Museum, a non-profit group created in 1972 in support of the museum’s programs, research and activities. Organizers of special events such as this often use poster printing to advertise their events.
The first Mint Gala will be held at the Nevada State Museum on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 7 pm to 10 pm. Doors will open to VIP guests at 6 pm. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
