A live concert is to be held in Carson City this February.
The event will feature Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express. The group has attracted a countrywide following for its rock and roll music, often tinged with country rock and psychedelia. They offer unique audience engagement experiences with a vibrant sound and striking visuals. With the concert, patrons can look forward to an evening of slow beats, as well as head-banging hits.
Prophet has been active in music since the mid-1980s, but the Mission Express began in early 2012. The name comes from a bus line that ran through the neighborhood where Prophet lives. The rest of the band consists of Stephanie Finch, Kevin White, Vicente Rodriguez, and James DePrato. Vocals come from both Prophet and Finch, while other members provide instrumental support on the bass, drums, guitar and keyboards.
