A special holiday program exclusively for teenagers will be presented at the West Caldwell Library, just outside of Livingston, later this month.
Those who are in grades six through twelve will enjoy card and board games, crafts, and a cookie-decorating contest.
In addition, participating teens will bring some joy to dogs in the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter in East Hanover by learning how to make a do-it-yourself dog toy from old T-Shirts. Younger children can make it at the library, while older children, teens, and adults can go to the youth services and reference desks and pick up a bag to take home with all of the craft components ready to go. The finished dog toy can then be returned to the library, after which it will be donated to the animal shelter.
The library features many other programs for young people throughout the year. There are special ‘Rhyme Times’ for babies from birth through age two, special story times for preschoolers, and other programs for children in grades kindergarten through second grade.
This particular event will be held on Wednesday, December 17, at 5:30 pm and is free and open to the public. As the library is located on the first floor of the West Caldwell Municipal Building, banner printing has probably been used to inform the community of this special activity.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
