What's Happening in Livingston, NJ…

Colorful event coming to Livingston

An upcoming festival in Livingston celebrates the rich culture of India.

Sanskriti of New Jersey is the organizer of the upcoming IndiaFest, which gives the Indian community a chance to share their culture with others. The event, which is free, includes dance and music performances by local artists, scrumptious Indian foods, booths with clothes and jewelry, henna/mehndi stalls, and games for people of every age. Children will have a chance to fly kites, and prizes will be awarded throughout the festival. Both children and adults will have a chance to participate in fashion shows.

In addition to the stalls, food, and performances, people will have a chance to take a BollyZumba lesson, and a Bhangra lesson. There is no charge for the lessons.

BollyZumba, as its name implies, is a Zumba workout routine with Bollywood music. Almost all Indian films, no matter how serious, have musical numbers in them, which is one of the aspects fans most enjoy.

Bhangra is a type of traditional folk dance most often found in the Punjab.

The 2025 IndiaFest will take place at the Livingston Gazebo, located at 7-9 Civic Center Road. The date is August 10, from 3.30 pm until 7.30 pm. The event is free, and organizers expect that over 1,500 people will attend the event. Organizers of events like this can advertise them with colorful posters, which they can specify and order at print shops.
