Livingston plans to celebrate nations birthday

The nation is having a birthday, and Livingston, New Jersey, is going all out to celebrate the day.

The schedule is packed, with activities taking place at several venues throughout the community including the Gazebo, at the Oval, near the high school, and at Haines Pool.

Among the activities planned are pony rides, an ice cream eating contest, a race car simulator, unique food trucks, a magic show, a zip line, amusements, games, and more. Alumni will play a baseball game at the high school, and the 33rd Annual Auto Show will take place in the high school’s parking lot.

The Garden Live bands are the Brian Drux Project, and the Livingston Leo, and New Power Soul appears on the Main Stage. New Power Soul is the main entertainment for the day and is a popular party band that has performed at theaters, clubs, corporate events, and wedding receptions for more than 25 years. They play everything from Lady Gaga to Sinatra.

The auto show runs all day, from 9.00 am until 3.00 pm. The Brian Drux Project appears from 3.30 pm until 5.00 pm, and the Livingston Leo follows at 5.30 pm, wrapping up their concert at 7.00 pm.
