Lovers of the arts will want to make a note in their Journals for an upcoming event this May, as a local college professor will host a compelling lecture-recital.
Leonard Bernstein: On (and Off) Broadway will be coming to a Livingston venue soon to provide area residents with a special opportunity to learn more about one of the most revered composers, conductors, and educators in U.S. history. The class will be led by Dr. Allen Cohen, a Professor of Music at Fairleigh Dickinson University, with the audience enjoying an informative lecture-style learning session.
Dr. Allen will take a closer look at the themes that make Bernstein a complex figure, as he was praised for his genius while wrestling with feelings of falling short of his potential. Brochure printing offers a flexible way for promoters to market such educational events while providing additional information about the lecture’s subject.
Attendees will get to explore Bernstein’s life and career, with a special emphasis on his Broadway career. Organizers are aiming to provide an accessible and insightful learning opportunity for the local community, with support from the Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
The Livingston Public Library, located at 10 Robert Harp Drive, will host the lecture, which will begin at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27. Interested parties can RSVP online in advance.
