Heavy metal band to appear near Livingston

A best-selling heavy metal outfit is on tour and will be making a stop in Montclair, a short distance from Livingston.

Trivium is on their Ascend Above the Ashes Tour, which follows their sold-out spring 2025 tour. Now they’re back accompanied by Jinjer, with the band Heriot also on the bill. Matt Heafy, Trivium’s frontman, said the band was excited by the upcoming tour, mentioning Jinjer’s “unstoppable force” and Heriot’s “crushing energy.” He went on to say they were looking forward to connecting with the fans, and the lineup is both the present and future of heavy metal.

The tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of Trivium’s album “Ascendancy,” which they released in March, 2005. It was their second album, and the RIAA rated it Gold. Trivium formed in 1999 in Orlando, Florida. Their song “Betrayer” earned them a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance” in 2019.

Jinjer is a four-piece Ukrainian band that formed in 2009 in Donetsk and relocated to Kyiv. Critics call them trend-setting artists who are changing the face of heavy metal.

Heriot is a metalcore band that formed in Swindon, England, in 2014. Critics have described their sound as combining elements from metal subgenres including death metal and industrial metal, as well as non-metal genres such as ambient music.

The concert is set for November 2 at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair. Organizers of performances like this can increase awareness by using poster printing for advertising.
