Livingston orchestra to entertain family with special concert

The Livingston Symphony Orchestra will be performing a family concert later this month at the Livingston High School Auditorium.

The Livingston Symphony will be led by Maestro Anthony LaGruth in a Family program that will feature excerpts from the Carmen Suites of Bizet, Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony, and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. The Maestro will also share stories behind the music, highlighting elements such as harmony, the sound qualities of individual instruments, melody, and other methods that are used by composers to create their musical compositions.

It will be an interactive experience, after which members of the audience will be invited to enjoy frozen desserts sponsored by Tofutti.

The concert will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 21. Attendees can purchase tickets at the door which are $25 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and free for children under the age of 12 who are accompanied by an adult.

The nonprofit, professional level Livingston Symphony Orchestra has been entertaining audiences in suburban Essex County since 1956, focusing on the best music that has ever been composed. Flyer printing companies can be used by orchestras such as this one to help large numbers of people.

There will also be a Donation Day for the orchestra at the Livingston Shake Shack on Tuesday, January 30.
