A new state-of-the-art Infusion Center is now opened at the Morristown Medical Center.
This new center is part of the first phase of the Carol G, Simon Cancer Center. Residents of Livingston who need such services will no doubt be interested in this Center. It will provide access to clinical trials and innovative life-saving treatments, as well as immunotherapy, intravenous chemotherapy, and biotherapy.
There are 12 new infusion chairs in the Center, which now brings a total of 36 chairs for patients. The space also features both private and open infusion bays so that patients can enjoy interactions with others, while other patients can be in a more quiet and meditative space. Such centers often look to Print shops to create materials with more information about such services and their features.
Principal investigator for the National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program, Dr. Missak Haigentz, said that the Center shows how the hospital is committed to providing quality care for patients. The program of which he is a part is a national network that connects communities with cancer care and clinical trials. Dr. Haigentz added that the additional space at the Center will allow for more privacy and the delivery of improved care while receiving treatment.
Increased expansion and fundraising for the Center continues, with $200,000 still needing to be raised for the cost of such improvements.
