Art classes abound in the fall

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit, just a short distance from Livingston, recently announced its schedule of workshops and classes for children, teenagers, and adults.

It will be offering close to 200 classes, with more than 25 new ones. The programs are for attendees to have direct access to writers, artists, and scholars so as to create opportunities for those involved in the arts, or who simply appreciate them.

A beginners’ class on charcoal drawing is a featured one for adults, while teens can enjoy classes ranging from ‘Do it Yourself Fashion Projects’ to clay sculpture. Drawing, painting, and ceramics classes are available for kids. Brochure printers may be used so that the Center can provide further details about these classes, such as days and times, costs, fees, and other pertinent information.

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey was founded 80 years ago and is dedicated to all aspects of contemporary art. Youth, families, seniors, people with special needs, and those who are economically disadvantaged are served every year by the Center, the mission of which is to bring the community together through art by providing transformative learning experiences.

In September, there will be a reception for the opening of three new exhibits for the fall. Light refreshments will be served and the respective artists will be in attendance for questions.
