Vintage beer festival gets Durham hopping

The beer will begin flowing in Durham in a few weeks when a festival that specializes in rare beers gets set up in town.

The 2026 Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting, which is being organized by NC Rare Beer, is gathering several breweries and brewmasters from the region for a memorable day of sampling several rare beers with friends and other enthusiasts. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the brewers to learn more about each beer at the event and discover new favorites.

The annual event is aiming to bring over 50 different breweries and vendors, with the brewery representatives pouring into the environment for an experience beer enthusiasts will crave. Banner printing is a bold and colorful way to build visibility for such events, while simultaneously promoting sponsors and welcoming attendees.

The festival is also partnering with a non-profit organization, the Michael James Jackson Foundation, with the proceeds funding scholarships for people of color within the brewing and distilling trades. Appetizers, specialty glassware, and bottled water are included in the ticket cost. Attendance is limited at the festival, and tickets are expected to sell fast. Interested parties are encouraged to make reservations in advance.

The festival will be held at Historic Durham Athletic Park on Saturday, January 24 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Tickets start at $103.22 per attendee online.
