Pasta-making workshop provides learning experience in Durham
A local establishment is offering a unique and hands-on learning experience in Durham, allowing interested parties to learn the skills and techniques for creating pasta from home.
The Fresh Pasta Making Class: Tortellini and Anolini has opened enrollment to interested parties who want to enjoy their favorite pasta options from home. The workshop is being led by Carmella, the owner of Melina’s Fresh Pasta, who will take students through the Primi courses that are served during the holidays in Italy.
Carmella will start the learning experience by showing students how to make a fresh egg pasta dough. Students will then roll the dough out into thin sheets before using the sheets to make ring-shaped tortellini noodles and circles for anolini. Printing services are an ideal resource for event organizers to provide recipes and instructions to students for the best learning experience.
At the end of the workshop, students will enjoy the noodles they have created with two different sauce options. The pasta will be cooked, allowing participants to taste the noodles they have made. Servings will be light to medium-sized. The two dishes will be Anolini di Parma in Brodo and Cheese Tortellini alla Panna.
The pasta-making workshop will be held at Il Laboratorio on Guess Road in Durham. It is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, November 18. Tickets are $76.54 per student online.
