Halloween festival to help Durham residents celebrate

A memorable autumn festival is just around the corner in Durham next month, giving area residents a fun and safe setting to wear costumes and have fun with friends and family.

The 4th Annual Bull City BOOs Fest 2025, which is being organized by the MAKRS Society, is getting ready to welcome visitors and area residents looking for a way to celebrate with friends while supporting local brands and vendors. Organizers have received commitments from 15 of the top food and beverage trucks in the region, along with several cideries, breweries, and dessert options.

The event will also feature several live bands and musicians, setting up a lively background soundtrack for the experience. No dogs will be allowed at this year’s festival. Banner printing is a vibrant way to welcome attendees to such festivals while promoting the event sponsors.

Guests will have access to several unique performances at this year’s BOOs Fest, including a contortionist, fire performers, acrobatics, an aerialist, and a magician. The atmosphere will be complete with spooky fog, performers on stilts, lasers, and tarot readers. Guests who wear costumes will be eligible to win prizes for their ideas and efforts.

The festival will be held at Durham Central Park on Saturday, October 18, from 4:00 to 11:00 PM. General admission tickets are for sale online for $23.18 per guest.
