For those who want a wedding in Durham’s Duke Chapel, planning ahead is a must as those who recently tried to book a wedding for July of 2016 discovered.
Since the first of May, Duke Chapel has been
closed for renovations but began scheduling wedding dates for next July. According to the chapel wedding coordinator, Sara Clark, wedding dates are only booked at the beginning of each month. The newly-renovated chapel is considered by couples to be a prime wedding location and wedding dates are quickly filled, which led to an unusual sight on Friday, July 31.
In anticipation of the August signup frenzy, couples decided to queue up in advance, not by an hour or two but by over a week. Couples who thought they were arriving early by several days discovered that by Duke Wedding Chapel time they were running late. Like rock fans waiting for tickets to a concert by their favorite artist, engaged couples pitched tents well in advance of their next wedding booking opportunity.
Contacting a printing company to place an order for wedding Invitations needs to be done early, but booking venues for the wedding and reception necessarily come first. Some couple who missed the mark for a July 2016 wedding may camp out later in August for a shot at an August 2016 wedding. Get a Free Quote for Invitations
