Discount store to upgrade technology systems
Save A Lot, the discount chain headquartered in St. Ann, is planning to update its technological capabilities.
The company will be working with Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company based in Santa Clara, California, to develop an advanced cloud and mobile environment and a new infrastructure for its computer systems. It will be using the Edge Services Platform (ESP) from Aruba to improve the connectivity among its stores, distribution centers, and its headquarters.
Among the benefits of this new platform will be enhanced security for all devices and users connected to Save A Lot’s network. The infrastructure of ESP will create a mobile-first space at the corporate level while in the stores the company will be better able to manage its network and increase the number of applications with the centralized cloud-based platform. The benefits of such upgrades are often made known throughout a company with pamphlets created by local printing services.
CIO at Save A Lot, Jennifer Hopper, expressed her thrill to working with Aruba to improve their information technology infrastructure that will help to maximize productivity across the company as team members will have fast and easy access to the network. The first phase of the deployment of ESP is expected to be completed by the end of October at headquarters, its corporate stores based in St. Louis, and at seven distribution centers.
