New eatery, bakery, bar, and market to come to St. Ann area

What was once Kohn's Kosher Deli in Creve Coeur will be transformed into Pierce Creek, which will have a restaurant, bakery, bar, market, and catering services. This may be of interest to residents in nearby St. Ann.

Rachelle L'Ecuyer and Kent Evans, owners of The MOObile food truck and Pierce Creek Cattle Company, purchased the property late last year after Kohn’s closed last July.

Evans said that the challenge is to use all the elements of the building as all the equipment, fixtures, and furniture were included in the purchase - and he does plan to use all of them. The immediate focus will be on cleaning out the space, determining what will remain, and then opening the bar and dining area. The MOObile food truck may serve as an interim kitchen for the establishment.

L'Ecuyer said that the food will be simple, healthy, comfort food. Pierce Creek will serve its signature tallow fries and smashburgers. With an expanded cooking space, popular specials such as smoked brisket, beignets, and steak fries, may join the menu. Pierce Creek will use local farm products from sustainable suppliers.

Such upcoming establishments can turn to flyer printing to promote their offerings and inform those in the area of their planned opening.

Pierce Creek plans to open within four months, starting with breakfast and lunch service. This will be followed by catering, events, and eventually dinner.
