The store will span 68,000 sq ft and will replace and be next to the current store in Creve Coeur on Olive Boulevard at North Spoede Road. Residents of nearby St. Ann who typically shop this store will most likely be interested in this new location.
Once the store is completed, those working at the current store will be working at the new store. Additional staff are expected to be hired to staff the new store which is larger.
Chairman and CEO of Schnucks, Todd Schnuck, said:
“After serving our loyal customers in the Creve Coeur and surrounding area for nearly six decades, we’re excited to continue nourishing people’s lives in that community with a brand new, state-of-the-art Schnucks store.”
He added that the store will have a more contemporary look and offer a shopping experience that is more efficient as well as the ability to offer more amenities and options to shoppers that cannot be done at the current location. Which is smaller Flyer printing can be used to highlight such new offerings and amenities to help attract new customers. The existing store in Creve Coeur is 36,500 sq ft and was built in 1967, making it one of the smallest and oldest locations of the Schnucks chain.
No grand opening date has yet been determined.
