Isembard has opened a new factory in St. Ann, which is its first in the United States.
The company is involved in manufacturing for critical industries and has raised $50m to finance the opening of 25 new factories around the world. The St. Ann factory spans 3,800 square feet and produces components for the defense and aerospace industries.
The factory is part of an innovative new manufacturing model aimed at revitalizing small machine shops and strengthening the industrial base of the USA. Isembard gives independent operators access to its brand, customers, technology, and accreditations, allowing owners to develop their own manufacturing businesses with comprehensive support. Such companies can benefit from flyer printing to provide more details about their business and its approach.
Jonathan Foster will be operating this factory. Previously a cardiac surgery nurse, he use the time during the pandemic to teach himself machining from scratch, working with his business partner Robbie Crider in Troy with a single CNC machine. He has since been able to grow his manufacturing business and will be opening more factories as part of the Isembard chain.
Foster expressed his excitement about being part of the Isembard family. He said that the beauty of the Isembard model is that everyone can play a role in the resurgence of manufacturing this country.
