Walk for mental health to come to St. Ann area

NAMIWalks St. Louis will be coming to Creve Coeur Park- Tremayne Shelter later this spring.

This is the 24th year of this walk, which seeks to make a significant impact on mental health and the landscape of mental health in the area. This event is looking for previous participants as well as new participants to make their voices heard.

The festivities of the event are expected to be inspiring and exciting. Residents of nearby St. Ann who are interested in this cause may want to participate.

In addition to the walk, there will be a DJ, a band, various sponsor booths and tents, and a special area for dogs, who are welcome to attend. This is a family-friendly event, so wagons and strollers for children are allowed.

The event has a walk that is one mile long as well as two miles long for the more athletic participants. Registration is free for the walk, but participants are encouraged to raise funds for the cause. Individuals who raise at least $100 will be given a T-shirt.

NAMIWalks St. Louis will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday May 16. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the opening ceremony is at 9:00 a.m., and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m.
