More than $70 million will be invested by Air Products Membrane Solutions to expand its logistics and manufacturing center in Maryland Heights. This may be welcome news for those in the St. Ann area. Air Products produces gas separation and purification membranes.
This is the largest investment made by Air Products and is the result of an increasing demand in hydrogen recovery and biogas applications as well as the needs of customers for the use of cleaner fuels for the marine industry and nitrogen in the aerospace industry.
It is expected that this expansion will add 30 new positions. Local Print shops can help advertise such positions with Flyers and other printed materials. This follows an investment of $10 million made by the company in 2023 to increase production at the current facility.
General Manager of Air Products, Dr. Erin Sorensen, expressed his excitement about this investment that will expand the production capacity and footprint of the company’s facility in the St. Louis area. He said that this demonstrates the commitment of the company to the local community and its motivated and talented workforce as well as creating innovative products for a cleaner, safer, and more productive world.
The new facility is expected to be operational by the end of next year.
