A parcel on Midland Avenue in Maryland Heights has been purchased for the potential construction of Harmony Homes Senior Living. This may be of interest to those in this age category in nearby St. Ann.

Chief Investment Officer of Harmony Homes, Greg Robinson, said a public hearing will be held to provide members of the community with the opportunity to voice their opinions, ask questions, and provide feedback about the project. He added this is part of his company’s effort to be transparent and collaborate with the community on the plans for the project.
The property has a home that was built by John L. Miers in 1905. It features a distinctive red roof tile and was made with Missouri limestone. It has been cherished as a local landmark, but due to severe decay and fire damage, it is not feasible to restore it.
The project will have six buildings, each with 16 homes in the ranch style. High-quality personalized care will also be one of the major amenities of the development, in addition to gardens, walking paths, and other features.
Once the existing building is demolished it is expected that construction will take 18 months to complete with the first homes to open within 10 months of the groundbreaking.
