The Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation is hosting its Upper Marlboro, MD: 2022 Virtual Esophageal Cancer Walk/Run in mid-June. The event is to raise awareness of, and funding for, advocacy and research for esophageal cancer.
Participants may choose one of two dates. Since this is a virtual event, everyone can run, walk, roller blade, bicycle, swim, or use any moving means they choose to cover the distance with no time restraints. Online individual virtual registration will be $30 (includes T-Shirts sporting the event’s Esophageal Cancer Walk white and periwinkle blue graphic design) or $20 for registration without the shirt. Virtual teams are also invited to sign up.
Those that cannot participate can still donate by supporting individuals or teams, fundraise by creating their own fundraising pages, sponsor the event, or make in-kind contributions.
Four sponsorship levels are available. The $250 Bronze level includes recognition on the event’s website, social media, and in its email marketing. The $500 Silver level adds option to include Promotional Products, and other giveaways in guest gift Bags and have the business name displayed at the event site. The $1,000 Gold level includes all the previously mentioned perks and adds the business name placed on event T-Shirts, while the $2,000 Periwinkle level adds the business logo to the displays at the event site and on the shirts.
The event has been scheduled for Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19.
