Upper Marlboro heads to county fair
Many of us here in Upper Marlboro will be heading for the Prince George's County Fair 2025 in early September.
Competitions will include exhibit and open class 4-H livestock such as sheep, dairy and meat goats, dairy and beef cattle, crafts including home arts, photography, agriculture and fine arts and flower show, and a beautiful baby contest.
Local businesses will exhibit their goods and services to raise awareness for their brands and interact with county residents. Commercial vendors, artists, and crafters, on the other hand, will be selling their original works, goods and services in their designated areas. Some non-profit organizations will also be exhibiting information about their missions, locations and programs while others will be selling concessions to raise money for their programs.
Local bands and performing troupes will be entertaining on multiple stages and 30-minute demonstrations will be done throughout the day. A carnival will have rides, concessions and games.
Fairs like this often get their poster printing done at local print shops and place posters around the venue giving directions and announcing designated areas.
