An evening of music, camaraderie, and camping is on the horizon in Upper Marlboro as a local farm has opened registration for an event next month.
The Under the Stars: Concert & Camping, presented by Black Dirt Farm Collective, is getting ready to host attendees who are seeking a night of camping paired with a live concert. Black Dirt Farm Collective, the evening’s organizers, is composed of Black educators, farmers, chefs, organizers, and seed keepers in southern Maryland.
The experience will be focused on creating an environment where intergenerational interactions and connections can be made. Performances will feature Axum and Proda, with Niambi also taking the stage for a live show. It will be a sober event, and guests are encouraged to comply with and support that initiative. Flyer printing is a cost-effective strategy for promoting community events like this, capturing attention and providing the details.
Attendees are welcome to bring blankets, favorite outdoor games, bag chairs, and cards. Vendors will also have a marketplace space set up where guests can shop. Food trucks will also be in attendance. The host site will feature several trails, giving those who attend closer access to nature.
The experience will be held at 9534 Croom Road in Upper Marlboro. It starts at 6:30 PM on Saturday, August 8th. General admission costs $7 for kids and $29 for adults, with overnight camping costing an additional $18 per family.
