Those in Upper Marlboro charmed by the scariness of Halloween may by pleased that the owners of Linville Manor will be offering a Ghost Hunt and Sleepover in mid-November.
Linville Manor has a long and dark history, going back to the 1600's, when it was built by members of the Bowie family. It burned to the ground, but was rebuilt on the same spot, over the original basement. Reports of ghosts inhabiting the mansion began to spread. Some became so familiar they were given the names Rose and Frederick. The Bowie family cemetery is not far from the Manor, and visitors have reported hearing the voices of children there. Today, Linville Manor, as it is now called, converted the structure to a ghostly destination, suitable for visitation by those willing to interact with the dead. Supernatural activities, it is claimed, occur nightly, most predominantly by one individual that has been named "The Lurker."
Perspective attendees have two options, General Admission, which runs from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am or VIP Overnight, which runs from 8:00 pm to 11:00 am, the next morning. The VIP option includes a stay in a luxury (haunted) suite. Ticket prices ranged from $129 to $598.
Haunted attractions like this often have local Print shops make a Logo Design or spooky graphic design to use in their advertising.
