Upper Marlboro runs Rosaryville Half Marathon

Upper Marlboro runners and joggers are training to take on the Rosaryville Half Marathon, 10k, or 5k Trail Run coming at the end of March.

The course is designed for early season running, being challenging yet not too technical. Pre-registration for the 5k is $48.50, the 10k is $59.30, and the half marathon is $80.50. Fees for the in-person runs will go up by $5 closer to race day.

Bib pickup and check-in will run from 7:30 am to 9:45 am. A briefing for the half marathon will be at 8:50 am followed by the half marathon starting at 9:00 am. The briefing for the 10k will begin at 9:50 am and that will be followed by the 10k beginning at 10:00 am. Post-race food will be available starting at 10:45 am. A free kids race for children from the ages of 2 to 11 will begin at 11:45 am.

Organizers of races such as this often have their paper products, such as race bibs and trail marker Signs, printed by local Print shops.

The race's charity partner this year is City Kids, a non-profit organization that helps D.C. city kids broaden their horizons by building resiliency through outdoor adventure, long-term engagement, experimental education, and goal setting.

This year's event will take place Saturday, March 28 in Rosaryville State Park, 7801 West Marlton Avenue.
