Upper Marlboro plays inaugural golf tournament

Golfers in Upper Marlboro will get to experience the first annual Pro Youth Foundation DMV Inaugural Golf Tournament coming in mid-August.

This will be a fundraiser for the Pro Youth Foundation, which helps underserved student athletes build leadership skills.

Individual golfer tickets will be $150, and foursomes will be $500. Tickets will include 18 holes of golf, lunch, and an awards ceremony.

Base Hit $1,500 sponsorships will include registration for two players, and company Logo Design in the program, at a course hole, and in press releases, as well as swag items. The $2,500 Home Run Derby Contest sponsorships will sponsor the tee box, closest to the pin, longest drive, and putting contests, plus the previously mentioned amenities.

The Registration Table and Continental Breakfast Sponsorship will be $3,000, the Double will be $3,500 (two holes with company name and logo), and the two available Beverage Carts sponsorships will be $5,000 each. The Triple will be $6,000 and the Home Run will be $8,500.

The $15,000 Grand Slam Title Sponsorship will include company name and logo on four holes, two foursomes playing with Harold Baines, rights to name the event, the name and logo on towels, a full-page program ad and press releases, Promotional Products in a swag bag, and a Harold Baines-signed White Sox jersey.

The tournament will be Friday, August 18 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Oak Creek Golf Club.
