Upper Marlboro Day celebrated with parade and festival

Many residents here in Upper Marlboro will be either be participating in or attending the 2025 Marlboro Day Parade & Festival coming in early June.

Marlboro Day celebrates the community and its pride as Prince George's County seat. The day will begin with a parade through town, ending at a festival along Governor Oden Bowie Drive.

Those participating in the parade – including vehicles, equestrian and walking groups – will be queuing up from 9:15 am to 9:45 am on Judges Drive. The parade will begin there and proceed onto Water Street. From there it will turn right onto Main Street and left onto Governor Oden Bowie Drive. Spectators can watch from Main Street.

Vendors and food trucks will be lining the street at the festival, and anyone interested in becoming a vendor needs to register for $76.54 on the event's website. Food truck registration is $55.20.

Three sponsorship levels are available. Those sponsoring the event program ($268.61) and the Kids Zone sponsor ($535.38) will receive mentions on the event's social media and after the parade. Official Event Sponsor ($1,500) signage will be near the stage. All sponsors need to get their quarter-page ads to the organizers before any event brochure printing gets underway.

This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
