Upper Marlboro celebrates with parade and festival
Marlboro Day will celebrate our community with a parade and festival coming early in June.
Festivities will begin with a parade through town beginning on Judges Drive, continuing onto Water Street, marching down Main Street, and turning left onto Governor Oden Bowie Drive. Units selected by the Events Committee will line up starting at 9:15 am with the parade stepping off at 10:00 am. The parade will end around 11:00 am.
The festival will begin along Governor Oden Bowie Drive right after the parade. The event stage will have performances every 30 minutes from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Government agencies, non-profit organizations, and vendors that set up booths at events such as this often have business cards and flyer printing arranged at local print shops beforehand.
Three sponsorship levels are available. Each event program sponsor ($268.61) will receive a vendor booth, social media mentions, and event program quarter-page ads. Kid Zone sponsors at the $535.38 level will receive A-frame signs at the Kid Zone area, vendor booths, and event program ads. The official event sponsor will receive a vendor booth, an A-frame sign close to the stage, and an event program ad. Upper Marlboro's Mayor Sarah Franklin will be thanking the Kid Zone and official event sponsors right after the parade.
Marlboro Day will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 7.
