The Town of Upper Marlboro will be celebrating its annual Marlboro Day in mid-May with a festival and parade.
The event will kick off on Main Street with a parade from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The festival will begin along Governor Oden Bowie Drive after a welcoming ceremony at 11:00 am to 11:30 am following the parade.
The free festival will include food, kids’ activities and rides, and live entertainment. The Main Stage will feature half-hour performances from noon until 2:30 pm.
Non-profit organizations and government agencies will man information booths. Groups that are part of events like this often put in a business card printing order beforehand, so all their pertinent information is available to passers-by.
Three sponsorship levels are available. For $250, Event Program sponsors will be mentioned online and social media and will have a quarter-page ad in the program. Kid Zone sponsors will get these perks plus an ad on the A-frame sign in the kids’ area, and personal recognition from the mayor in the after-parade ceremony. The Official Event Sponsor will receive the online and social media perks, a quarter-page ad, an A-frame sign next to the stage, and recognition from the mayor.
The Marlboro Day Parade and Festival 2023 will take place Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
