Marlboro readies for parade and festival

Most of Upper Marlboro is getting ready for Marlboro Day Festival and Parade 2024 coming in early June.

Parade entries including vehicles, equestrians and walking groups can get organized from 8:30 am to 9:45 am behind the Courthouse on Judges Drive, and the 1/2-mile parade will start at 10:00 am sharp. The procession will turn right onto Main Street, go left on to Governor Oden Bowie Drive and end in downtown Upper Marlboro at the County Administration Building around 11:00 am.

The festival activities will be along Governor Oden Bowie Drive and will include kids' activities and rides, and sales vendors.

Entertainment including performers, bands musicians and other local talent will take to the stage from noon to 2:30 pm.

Some booths will have county, state and federal government agencies and non-profit organizations passing out Business Cards with information about their missions, resources, goods and services.

All sponsors including the $250 Event Program sponsors will receive mention online and in social media and a quarter-page ad in the program. The Kid's Zone sponsor at the $500 level will get signage in the Kid's Zone, and The Official Event sponsor at the $1500 level will get signage near the stage.

Volunteers will be needed for the entertainment, Kid's Zone and vendor check-in areas.

Marlboro Festival and Parade 2024 will take place Saturday, June 8th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. General admission will be free.
