Local charity foundation holds golf tournament

Upper Marlboro PI Upsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation will be hosting its 30th Scholarship Golf Tournament towards the end of September.

Breakfast and registration will begin at 7:15 am, and will be followed by the shotgun start at 8:30 am. The post-tournament luncheon will begin at noon, where awards, prizes, and raffles will be announced.

Individual fees are $135 and foursome fees are $500. These prices will include breakfast, range balls, 18 holes of golf, beverages on the course, and the post-tournament luncheon. Proceeds from this event will go to supporting the foundation’s student scholarships.

Business professionals who attend events like this usually bring plenty of Business Cards and use the downtime before, after, and during play for networking, as well as the get-together afterwards.

Sponsorships are available at 11 levels ranging from $100 Hole sponsors to $7,000 Platinum Sponsors. The lesser sponsorships available are, along with the Hole Sponsor, The $150 Pin Flag, $500 Contest Hole, $750 Hole-in-One, and the $850 Patron Player. Mid-level sponsorships are the $1,500 Beverage and Snack Cart and the Score Board Sponsors, the $2,000 Awards, and $2,500 Lunch sponsors. The top two levels will be the Silver $5,000 and the Gold $7,000.

The event will be held Monday, September 25 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Oak Creek Golf Club, 600 Bowieville Manor Lane.
