Firefighters benefit from golf tournaments

Food on the Stove, an organization here in Upper Marlboro that provides nutrition education to firefighters, will be holding its inaugural Firefighter Charity Golf Event in mid-July.

PGCVF and RA will be holding their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament at the end of August.

Registration for one golfer in the Firefighter Charity will be $175, two golfers $300, three golfers $400, and foursomes will be $500. Swag includes green fees, gift Bags, closest to the Pin and Longest Drive contests, and beverages and snacks on the course.

Registration and a complimentary breakfast will begin at 7:30 am followed by the shotgun start at 8:30 am. A hot lunch will begin at 11:00 am, and a reception will follow at 2:30 pm.

Swag at events such as this often includes promotional items with the donors' Logo Design prominently displayed.

This Firefighter Charity Event will take place Thursday, July 18 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at Lake Presidential Golf Club, 3151 Presidential Golf Drive.

On August 30th the Prince George County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association will be holding their "Best Ball" tournament.

After July 1st single registration will be $150. Registration will include carts, range balls, green fees, lunch with door prize and silent auction and continental breakfast.

Registration will begin at 7:30 am followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 am.

This tournament will take place at Oak Creek Golf, 600 Bowieville Manor Lane.
