All five concerts in the Music at the Manor Concerts series will take place here in Upper Marlboro during March.
R&B vocalist Pam Ward and musicians Steve Perkins, Tim Long, Trent Birkhead, and Vince Evens will start the series with A Tribute to The Quiet Storm celebrating 2021 Radio Hall of Famer Melvin Lindey's radio program The Quiet Storm. Admission will be $50. It will take place on Saturday, March 2 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
The following Saturday, March 9, saxman Brian Lenair will join the Lake Arbor Jazz for an evening of captivating melodies. Admission will be $50.
All About Strings, on March 16, will be an evening of acoustic music, discovering the individual characteristics of each string instrument and the rich history of strings.
Finally, Jazmin Ghent, an up-and-rising young smooth jazz saxophonist, will have two performances with the Lake Arbor Jazz. One will be Saturday, March 30 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, and she will also be the special guest at the Easter Sunday Gospel Jazz Brunch, where local friends and families may enjoy an Easter buffet brunch, mimosas, and music on Sunday, March 31 from noon to 3:00 pm.
Admission for the March 30 performance will be $50, while the Easter Sunday Jazz Brunch is $150.
