Vermont invites businesses to attend large show in Springfield

Businesses from Vermont are being invited by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets (VAAFM) to showcase and sell their goods and services at the Vermont Building at the Eastern States Exposition (Big E) in West Springfield in September.

The agency is promoting this as it can help grow businesses in Vermont, and the state economy may receive a boost from such an exposure to a larger market. Promotional Products are often used for exhibits, which can serve as good publicity for such businesses and the state.

There are six New England buildings on the Avenue of the States at the Big E which takes place every September and lasts for 17 days. There is a variety of retail and food businesses from Vermont, which feature the finest of the state’s offerings.

Anson Tebbetts, Secretary of the VAAFM, said that the best of both the innovative and traditional products of the state are shown at the Vermont Building, and these highlight the high quality of the retails goods, food, and beverages that make up the state’s economy. About 28 vendors attend the Big E every year, some for the entire 17 days and some using the rotating eight-to-nine-day spots.

The Big E will take place from September 18 through October 4. Vermont businesses that are interested in attending need to submit their application to VAAFM by Monday, February 17.
