The focus of Dr. Zhong’s project will be on “Financial Identity Development and Psychological Well-Being in Malaysian Emerging Adults.” Dr. Zhong will use a mixed methods approach to investigate how individuals navigate concerns when transitioning to financial independence, cultural expectations, and responsibilities of family, and build and then rebuild the financial identity in this particular development stage. Dr. Zhong said:

Her research investigates how mental health and financial identity intersect and influence one another.
