Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen will be integrating with the other bakery location in Agawam. This combined restaurant will still serve some of the organic foods and other healthy options that were previously offered at Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen but it will also offer coffee and other baked goods that are normally offered by the bakery.
The owner of Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen, Cathie A. Cappa, said about her decision to move the restaurant over to her other business:
"I would sincerely like to thank all of West Side for an amazing five-year run. My decision was a very difficult one, but I know it is time for me to slow down just a little and do some things for me."
The second restaurant, Burgundy Brook Cafe, is set to move its location to Three Rivers. Although Burgundy Brook Cafe’s location change will not present any menu changes such as those seen in the Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen move, the owner does plan on receiving a liquor license, which opens up the menu to adult beverages. The owner of the restaurant has reported that the cafe should reopen on June 1.
