New restaurant to open in Springfield

A new location of The Place 2 Be, an all-day brunch and cocktails restaurant, will be opening at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield. The chain is based in Hartford with this location being its fourth and the first in Massachusetts.

The eatery will span 6,000 square feet with a capacity of 80 people sitting and 100 standing in the space. It will also have a function room, four bars, and an outdoor patio.

CEO and founder of The Place 2 Be, Gina Luari, said that she had always been looking to open a location of the chain in Springfield as many of her online customers place orders from the area, thereby offering many opportunities for the restaurant.

Other restaurants at the Hall of Fame include locations of the Locals 8 Restaurant Group and the Max Restaurant Group. The Place 2 Be plans to tap into the theme of the Hall of Fame with its own version of distinguished accomplishments, its fun themes, and its connection to the hall. The opening of such new eateries often includes flyer printing to help spread the word about what sets them apart from other such restaurants.

It will be opened seven days a week and will be accessible to those who are not visiting the Hall of Fame. The Place 2 Be is planning to open early this year.
