Employer joins college to offer grants for students

The Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) has partnered with Springfield College to provide grants for part- and full-time employees of BHN who are enrolled at the college.

This includes those who are in doctoral, graduate, undergraduate, or certificate of advanced graduate study programs at the college.

President and CEO of BHN, Steve Winn, expressed the excitement of his company to partner with the college so that staff can have an affordable way to obtain a degree. He said that this will benefit the quality of care and staff, as they will be able to advance their careers in a flexible manner.

Springfield College has established scholarships for which employees of BHN are eligible as long as they can provide their employment information. Grants will be given to employees for the degrees they are pursuing, and transfer credits will also be provided for those who have completed requisite certificates and training. There will also be a pathway for employees to earn credits towards their degree through the prior learning assessment portfolio program at the college. Local Print shops are often hired to create Flyers and other materials to provide more details about such programs, and to promote them throughout a company.

BHN provides comprehensive behavioral health services for children, families, and adults throughout the region, and is the largest provider of behavioral health services in western Massachusetts.
