Company moves headquarters to Springfield

The purchase of an office building by Gándara Center has been completed which will enable the company to move into a new headquarters.

The building spans 13,200 square feet and is located on East Columbis Avenue. Known as the South End Building, it dates back to 1908. It was once the home of the Axia group insurance agency which now has offices at the MassMutual headquarters on State Street in West Springfield. The purchase price was $2 million, which was made possible with bonds from MassDevelopment, the land bank and finance agency of the state.

Such moves often require the services of Stationery printers as new Letterheads, Business Cards, and other printed materials are typically needed.

CEO of Gándara, Lois Nesci, said that the company has always wanted to have its offices in the city where the most services of the company are provided. Gándara specializes in culturally competent and bilingual mental health services for the African American and Hispanic communities and other underrepresented populations. Gándara has a clinic in the North End of Springfield and other facilities across the state.

The current headquarters of the company are in West Springfield. Nesci said the company is discussing what to do with that location but will most likely sell the property.

The company is expected to move into the new headquarters by late spring and hold an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.
