Pet-focussed celebration to be held next month
Clearbrook's first annual Raise the Woof Pet Festival is being held this September in Mt. Prospect.
There will be lots of activities for people and their pets taking place during the day. There is set to be a 2K pet walk, food trucks, a pet photo booth, and a puppy kissing booth. Some activities have a fee.
Additionally, several contests are planned for pets, including Best Dressed, Most Obedient, and Best Trick. All those who sign up for the 2K walk will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, and a pet bandana.
An adoption center will also be set up so attendees can find their next pet, and vendors are expected to be on hand to sell a variety of pet-related items.
Those who want to take part in the pet walk will likely come from all over the area, including the nearby town of Arlington Heights; the t-shirt that is being given out to participants in the walk may be provided to organizers by local printing companies.
The Raise the Woof Pet Festival will take place at Melas Place in Mt. Prospect on September 13th from 9:00am - 1:00pm. General admission is free, but walk registration is $15 plus $5 for each extra pet, while one contest entry is $10 and unlimited is $25. Further, a fun pass is $10 and an all-access pass is $45.
