Arlington Heights organizes 90s-themed family dance

Arlington Heights families will be going back in time to the 1990s thanks to a special event that will have everyone on the dancefloor.

The Arlington Heights Park District has organized its TGIF Family Dance party, which promises to be two hours of retro-themed fun. Everyone who plans on attending is encouraged to dig into the back of their closet for their best ‘90s gear.

The event will take inspiration from the ‘90s TGIF TV lineup, and butterfly clips, chokers, and flannel shirts will be the order of the evening. DJ Jim will be spinning the tunes, and there will be games, dancing, and a snack and dessert bar. It is for those age four and up, provided all children are accompanied by an adult, and everyone is encouraged to dress in costume if they wish.

When planning a themed event, organizers may turn to local banner printing companies, as they will be able to provide a selection of options for bespoke decor. They can work with most budgets and are able to provide both single-use and reusable styles.

This trip back in time to the 1990s will open its doors at 6:30 pm, and is taking place at the Arlington Lakes Golf Club. It is scheduled for Friday, March 6 and tickets are still available at the time of writing.
