Swedish style fun on offer near Arlington Heights
The Arlington Heights-area Grand Ballroom at Chevy Chase Country Club will soon be transformed into a Swedish style holiday celebration, complete with decor, music, food and other fun.
The guests at the event will be able to celebrate like Swedes when they enjoy the experience that’s in store. Live entertainment has been scheduled, and there will be an opportunity to purchase holiday gifts.
The function will feature singing by the multi-generational Swedish Glee Club, directed by Jennifer Wagner. Both traditional and contemporary songs in both English and Swedish will be on the program, and everyone will be able to fill their plates as often as they wish at the “julmiddag”, which is a buffet-style dinner. A cash bar will be on offer, and attendees can purchase baked goods, handmade items, and other gifts to take home. A raffle draw for an assortment of prize baskets will round out the festivities.
